The Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) has officially commenced construction of its Centre of Excellence, a landmark facility to host an ADR Centre, Value for Money Audit Unit, and Data Processing Hub.

The sod-cutting ceremony, led by the newly elected President, Surv. Kofi Obeng-Ayirebi, marks a bold step toward enhancing capacity-building, transparency, and professional innovation within Ghana’s built environment sector.

GhIS Centre of Excellence Groundbreaking

GhIS Breaks Ground for Centre of Excellence

The Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) has broken ground for a Centre of Excellence, featuring an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Unit, Value for Money (VfM) Unit, and a Data Processing Centre. The sod-cutting ceremony was led by Kwame Governs Agbodza, Minister of Roads and Highways. The two-storey prefabricated container-based facility will include a 220-seater conference hall, a 30-seater training centre, meeting rooms, a breakout area, and offices, serving as a hub for advanced training, research, and technological innovation.
