GhIS Breaks Ground for Centre of Excellence

In a landmark ceremony at the GhIS Secretariat, South Legon, the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) officially cut sod for the construction of its Centre of Excellence, which will house dedicated facilities for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Value for Money (VfM) Auditing, and Data Processing.

The President of GhIS, in his keynote address, emphasized that this facility is more than bricks and mortar—it represents a strategic investment in professional growth, innovation, and the future of Ghana’s built environment industry.

Key features of the Centre include:

  • State-of-the-art ADR Centre for professional mediation of land and construction disputes.
  • VfM Advisory Unit ensuring cost-effective project delivery.
  • Data Processing Hub for robust analysis of land and real estate metrics.

Government representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Roads & Highways, Justice, and the Public Procurement Authority attended, underscoring cross-sector support for the project.
